A remake of Razia Butts famous novel by the same name which had also inspired the popular Shamim Ara-Mohammad Ali movie, SAIQA is purely a love story with all the Star Plus twists, turns and manipulations. Shot on beautiful locations of Murree and Nathiagali, this love story spanning two generations, will keep viewers riveted till the end. The story focuses on Naji (Sarwat Gillani) and Tahir (Mikaal Zulfiqar). Naji is a village girl; and Tahir, a Nawab's son who falls in love with her, wants to marry her. Tahir is already engaged to Fauzia (Mahjabeen) and the family does not want him to marry Naji, but he persists, in spite of family pressure. They have a daughter, Saiqa (Juggan Kazim) who grows up in the hateful atmosphere of the haveli with everybody insulting her at every step, and plotting to get rid of her and her mother. Rehan (Ahsan Khan) adds an unexpected element to this riveting soap that keeps the viewer guessing the end right up till the climax.Directed by: Asim Ali
